Forty years. That’s how long the so-called "end of the world" has been dragging on. People once feared nuclear weapons, deadly diseases, and toxic chemicals - yet none of those brought about our downfall. It was our own ignorance that led us to ruin.

There was time to act. We knew the world was running out of its most essential element - oxygen. Perhaps we could have saved ourselves if we’d stood united. Instead, greed and fear took hold. People turned on each other, killing for the faint promise of one more breath.

Billions perished, and what’s left of humanity now clings to life around vast oxygen generators that turn poisonous air into something barely breathable.

Or rather, the rich and the powerful do. The rest of us survive on scraps, fighting for whatever remains.

This is a story about those who survived the end of the world - and the price they paid for it.

Embark on a journey through moral decay, desperation, and fragile hope, as you flee your home and homeland in search of survival.

Berlin, 2043. A sleepy Wednesday morning. You arrive in the fog-covered, grey city centre. A small crowd begins to gather before a massive wooden stage, where soldiers of the Deutsche Revolutionsarmee - the German Revolutionary Army - prepare for the day’s event. They stand guard over towering silos, each filled to the brim with oxygen.

Today, as every week, citizens are permitted to refill their oxygen canisters - a chance, at least in theory, to survive. In practice, it’s never enough for everyone. You’re one of those citizens, waiting for your share. As always, you join the queue and wait your turn.

Then, without warning, a series of explosions erupts behind you. Panic spreads. You feel a sharp, burning pain in your calf - and the world around you dissolves into chaos.
